Allambi Court Support program

The Allambi Court Support program supports vulnerable young people and their families or caregivers who are attending the local Children’s Court. Through this assistance, we can address factors in their life which are contributing to the offending behaviour and help to navigate the legal system. The aim is to prevent any child or young person in our community from escalating their criminal behaviour or ‘falling through the cracks’ of the justice system.

We work in partnership with local services including police to link children and young people to support in their local community. This includes mental health, drugs and alcohol, education, employment and training.

In collaboration with the court support program, the Linking, Inspiring, Transforming (LIT) eight-week program aims to reduce reoffending through intensive support, referral pathways and life skill guidance. It is designed for 15-17 year old young people who have had interactions with police or the Children’s Court and are disengaged from school and support services.
