Lauchlan’s journey with Allambi Care is one defined by growth, independence, and genuine connection. His support team describe him as “part of the family,” and that bond has played a big role in his progress. When Lauchlan first joined Allambi Care five years ago, he required a high level of support, including assistance with personal care, a limited diet, and significant medication use. Through consistent encouragement and tailored support, he’s made remarkable strides - he’s now almost entirely off medication, follows a healthy diet full of fruit, vegetables, chicken, and rice, and exercises daily to manage his energy and emotions. The changes in his wellbeing and confidence have been transformative.

With the support of his casework manager, Sam, and his dedicated team, Lauchlan has also achieved many personal milestones. His communication skills have developed significantly - he can now recognise and recall phone numbers, and his independence continues to grow each day. He proudly completes household tasks such as making his bed, doing the dishes, and taking out the bins, and can independently order his favourite meal at McDonald’s. Alongside these achievements, Lauchlan enjoys a rich and active routine - visiting his parents three times a week, going for walks, swimming, and immersing himself in music. From kids’ songs to rock and roll and R&B, music has become his favourite way to unwind and express himself.
