Do I need a qualification to be a Therapeutic Home Based Carer?

Therapeutic Home Based Care or THBC is a unique and specialist form of foster care designed to support young people in out-of-home-care with high needs, who are between 12 and 17 years of age.

THBC carers don’t need a qualification. Life experience is enough, along with the ability to therapeutically support young people with high and complex needs. Allambi Care provide specialist training and access to wrap around supports including Allied Health as well cultural and educational support.
