Can I still work if I am a Therapeutic Home Based Carer?

Therapeutic Home Based Care or THBC is a unique and specialist form of foster care designed to support young people in out-of-home-care with high needs, who are between 12 and 17 years of age.

We do have THBC carers who work, however, the support needs of the young person need to be a priority. It is important that THBC carers are available to meet the needs of the young person in their care. A generous tax-free allowance is available to THBC carers.
