As Director of TracksHealth and Clinical Services at Allambi Care, Dr Paul Baker leads the organisation’s multidisciplinary health and therapeutic support services. His role is focused on ensuring that high-quality, trauma-informed clinical services are accessible to the children, young people and families engaged with Allambi Care. Paul plays a key role in integrating practical, evidence-based supports across programs, driving innovation in how therapeutic care is delivered and experienced.

Since joining Allambi in 2009, Paul has brought a deep commitment to care and a background in neuropsychology to the organisation. His professional and personal life reflect a long-standing dedication to supporting those in need - Paul and his family have provided therapeutic foster care to more than 29 young people over the years, four of whom became permanent members of his family through adoption. These lived experiences have fuelled Paul’s belief in the power of transformation and resilience, especially when the right supports are in place.

Paul is known for his ability to see the bigger picture and break down complex challenges into meaningful, achievable actions. He describes his ‘superpower’ as simplifying the complicated - making practical progress possible even in high-pressure or uncertain circumstances. A standout moment in his career has been witnessing the positive impact that high-quality clinical support can have on young people who arrive in care feeling hopeless and disempowered.

Watching someone move from a place of despair to a place of hope is a powerful reminder of why this work matters.
