Support for safe & stable housing

Having a safe and secure place to live is a basic human right and doesn’t only apply to those sleeping rough. Homelessness can be the result of leaving a refuge or moving from one accommodation to another. This can include people who couch surf, stay with family and friends for limited periods of time, stay in hotels or caravan parks or even their cars.

Allambi’s Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) and Homeless Youth Assistance Program (HYAP) focus on providing supports for people between the ages of 12-24 who are known to be homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our dedicated homelessness teams meet the needs of these young people by providing a rapid response to referrals or providing a safe bed in one of our refuges.

Our teams collaborate with multiple services to achieve safe and stable housing. We partner with housing providers, the department of education and training, and services that deliver allied supports such as drug and alcohol, domestic violence and mental health programs.
